Our History / Nuestra Historia
La BiB opened its doors in 2023 as a grassroots initiative to expand access to children’s books in English, Spanish, and bilingual formats. In January 2025, it became the La BiB Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to foster a love of reading, strengthen literacy skills, and promote bilingualism by providing children and families with free access to high-quality books and educational resources within their community.
La BiB abrió sus puertas en 2023 como una iniciativa comunitaria para ampliar el acceso a libros infantiles en inglés, español y ediciones bilingües. En enero de 2025 se convirtió en la Fundación La BiB, una organización sin fines de lucro registrada como 501(c)(3). Nuestra misión es fomentar el amor por la lectura, fortalecer las habilidades de alfabetización y promover el bilingüismo, brindando a niños y familias acceso gratuito a libros de alta calidad y recursos educativos dentro de su comunidad.

Classes & Collaborations | Clases y Colaboraciones
We offer storytimes, music and art classes, along with partnerships with community organizations to promote bilingualism and literacy.

Volunteer Opportunities / Voluntarios
Our volunteers help run the library and events, deliver donations, and raise funds to support the development of a reading culture in the growing bilingual community we serve.
